Help SGAC assist those in need during the National Summit in Salt Lake City. The Mayor's office has suggested SGAC assist Utah Volunteers of America (VOA.) VOA runs a youth homeless shelter for teens, provides mental health and drug abuse treatment, operates a detoxification center, and a crisis intervention hotline.
There are several ways SGAC members can provide help. - Be a hygiene kit sponsor. Select the Philanthropic Activity / Product Sponsorship when registering for the Summit or sponsorships. The financial contribution will be used to purchase items needed for the hygiene kits and your organization will be recognized for this sponsorship.
- When you register for the National Summit also register to stuff hygiene kits. Members will stuff ziploc bags with travel size items VOA has requested. This will take place on Thursday from 12:30 - 2:30 pm and will be limited to 40 attendees. Lunch will be provided. - Wear jeans! Make a financial contribution directly to VOA through this link: https://www.voaut.org/ and you can wear jeans during the National Summit. Donations of all sizes are greatly appreciated and at your discretion.
- Looking to volunteer your time after the conference? Reach out to VOA directly to coordinate an activity or a donation. https://www.voaut.org/in-kind
