Networking

In addition to peer to peer networking events, SGAC has relationships with partner organizations that provide opportunities to connect with leaders. The format of networking events is varied and understanding of already busy schedules, with events at popular state government affairs conferences in addition to SGAC hosted events, formal and informal settings.

SGAC provides career development specifically designed to strengthen and engage SGR professionals with topics from how to communicate ROI to how to navigate an evolving profession. These trainings are crafted to support members whether they are current leaders in the field or just starting. The program is designed to help heads of their departments looking to develop talent or individuals personally seeking continued education.
Career Development
Career development with SGAC is accessible regardless of location or travel schedule. Seminars are offered in various regions throughout the year and webinars allow for learning on your time-frame. Learn from experts chosen with care to support your career during small targeted seminars, and with webinars that are offered both live and on-demand.

Training is open to all SGAC members.
In addition SGAC offers access to the only certificate program specifically for state government affairs professionals. Choose from a selection of competencies that fit your education needs.
